The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) is a national initiative of the Government of India aimed at creating a drug-free and healthier society by addressing the issue of substance abuse. The mission focuses on prevention, awareness, treatment, and rehabilitation, particularly targeting youth and vulnerable communities who are at greater risk of addiction.

Through awareness campaigns in schools, colleges, workplaces, and communities, NMBA educates people about the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol. The initiative also strengthens de-addiction centers, counselling services, and rehabilitation programs to support individuals in recovery and reintegration into society.

By promoting community participation and behavioural change, the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan works to restore health, dignity, and social stability, while protecting families and communities from the long-term impact of substance misuse.
